Thomas Aurand, new Key Account Manager at progros

31.10.2018

From 1st November, Thomas Aurand begins as new Key Account Manager at progros. He therefore follows Nicole Gamboa Rodriguez, who is expecting a baby and is on maternity leave from November. As such, Thomas Aurand completes the southern Europe key account management team around Director Claudius Möller. After an intensive induction phase, he will take over Nicole Gamboa’s region, which has developed exceptionally well under her management.

Many thanks to the lovely Nicole Gamboa for her strong commitment to progros – and of course all the very best for the exciting time ahead!

Alongside Claudius Möller and Thomas Aurand, Stefan Krämer is the third man in the group, looking after progros hotels in the southern Europe region. As well as looking after and advising the 900 progros hotels, Thomas Aurand’s tasks also include acquiring new hotels and hotel chains for the purchasing solutions from progros. Furthermore, from now on he will be supporting progros hotels with making even better use of all progros services for themselves.

Following his training as a hotel specialist at relexa hotel Stuttgarter Hof in Berlin, Thomas gained practical experience as a Membership Consultant / Deputy Club Manager for Hard Candy Fitness / Jopp AG. From 2016 to 2018 Thomas worked as a Key Account Manager (Cluster Sales Executive and Cluster Sales Manager) for Marriott International with Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Berlin Marriott Hotel.

Alongside the area of southern Europe, a 3-person team around Director Matthias Werner likewise supports progros hotels in their everyday collaboration with progros in the region of northern Europe. The two Key Account Managers, Stefan Spagnolo and Gabriel Schwärzel, are part of this.

Around 900 hotels and hotel groups in eight European countries use progros for measurable improvement of their purchasing conditions and procurement processes. The four divisions of the company, which was founded by hoteliers in 1986, include: Purchasing Pool – immediate access to preferential conditions with around 570 suppliers in all range areas; Consulting – bespoke, supplier-independent advice and ideas; Project Management – bespoke, supplier-independent procurement management for complete furnishing of hotels; Web: Tools – digital procure-to-pay solutions for ordering, goods management, invoice management.
