As a further consequence, this naturally also means strong networking with the sector. progros is therefore a passionate & very committed supporter of the most important and most innovative industry associations and institutions. We champion research projects that have a direct connection with our core mission. Furthermore, since 2017, 100% of our fee revenue from keynote speeches and specialist presentations has been given to charity.
In 2014, progros supported the “Alpen Future Hotel Y” research study. The focus of the research work, which was produced in collaboration with the Fraunhofer institute and under the direction of Explorer Hotels Entwicklungs GmbH, was the question of how the hotel landscape and hotels even in the Alpine region will develop and change in the coming years.

As a premium sponsor, progros supports the German hotel prize for young talent, which has been awarded since 2012 by Hoteldirektorenvereinigung Deutschland e. V. (German hotel managers’ association – HDV) together with AHGZ – Allgemeine Hotel- und Gastronomie-Zeitung (General hotel and catering newspaper, published by Deutscher Fachverlag). The award is aimed at young managers in the hotel and catering industry, and it encourages exceptional performance and talent.

Since 2017, progros has supported the FAIR JOB HOTELS initiative as a partner. The society, which was founded in 2016 by 16 big players in the hospitality sector, has set itself the objective of establishing binding values and standards for dealings in the working world.

Every year since 2006, together with other expert judges, progros has assessed the best ideas & concepts of innovative “visionaries” from the catering scene, as the basis for awarding the Gastro Vision sponsorship prize.

progros has been a member of HDV (hotel managers’ association) since 2006 and the exclusive partner since 2017. HDV creates a platform for hotel managers to interact on an equal footing. The main function of HDV is constructive pooling of the professional skills of hotel industry managers.

Since 2012, progros has supported the Heilbronn Hospitality Symposium, which is hosted by Heilbronn University as an industry get-together, networking and dialogue platform for the hotel industry and especially for young talent in the sector.

As part of his teaching position, progros Managing Director Jochen Oehler introduces the practical components of supply chain management, such as negotiation, strategy and more besides.

Since 2002, progros has been a partner and sponsoring member of the German Hotel Association (IHA). IHA is the trade association of the hotel industry in Germany, with around 1,300 hotels in the mid and upper market segment from the private, partner and chain hotel industry.

The aim of the Cloud Services Made in Germany initiative, which was launched by AppSphere AG back in 2010, is to ensure greater legal certainty in the use of cloud services. Since 2021, progros has been a partner of this initiative.
