progros was again present in Hamburg with its “Out of the Box” concept lounge at what was Gastro Vision's 20th anniversary between 15 and 19 March. The programme featured world debuts and a daily gastronomic discussion entitled “A beer with you – the world’s shortest gastro chat” with fascinating personalities from the industry.
What are the 5 key factors for success in the restaurant trade? How can you reconcile pragmatism, craziness and award-winning cuisine? What will be the ‘dos and dont’s’ when looking for staff and work over the next decade? What it is the direction of the hospitality industry?
All these fascinating questions and more were at the focus of the “Out of the Box” concept lounge that progros once again presented at Gastro Vision 2019.
Discovering new horizons with “Out of the Box”
An inspiring exchange of ideas, innovative concepts and fascinating guests – progros again made a mark at this year’s Gastro Vision held at Hotel Empire Riverside in Hamburg as part of Internorga. Together with its partners Global F&B Heroes and Frankstaste, it offered an interesting programme to guests and visitors alike. The daily “A beer with you – the world’s shortest gastro chat” saw guests Jean-Georges Ploner, Global F&B Heroes, Benedikt Faust, award-winning chef from Best Western Premier Hotel Rebstock in Würzburg, Mario Pick from Von Bonin HR Consulting and Marco Nussbaum from Prizehotels in interview with progros CEO Jochen Oehler discussing the background to current issues and analysing future trends.
One of the other key topics that “Out of the Box” focused on was the use of the brand-new gastro-kit concept to optimise restaurant and catering plans to enable restaurant operators to generate a ready-made concept that includes elements such as furnishings, equipment and menus. progros also presented the whole world of the digitalisation of back-office processes – from ordering and inventory management to vendor, invoice and financial management.
